1. The lottery will take place November 2, 2020 to December 15, 2020 start time 12:01 am, closing time 4:00 pm.  All tickets will only be sold to people who are 18 years of age or older.

2. Recipient of draw funds will be THRIVE Child Development Centre.

3. Tickets are:  3 for $5, 10 for $10, and 60 for $20

4. If physical distancing is lifted, tickets will be available at pre-arranged/booked locations throughout Sault Ste. Marie. Selling locations may include 

Canadian Tire – 44 Great Northern Rd., Sault Ste. Marie

Metro Supermarkets – 150 Churchill Blvd., 248 Northern Ave., 275 Second Line W, Sault Ste. Marie

Rome’s Independent Grocer – 44 Great Northern Rd, Sault Ste. Marie

No Frills – 519 Korah Rd, Sault Ste. Marie

Walmart Superstore – 446 Great Northern Rd, Sault Ste. Marie

Station Mall – 293 Bay St., Sault Ste. Marie

Food Basics – 701 Pine St. and 625 Trunk Rd., Sault Ste. Marie, and 

Pino’s Get Fresh – 219 Trunk Rd, Sault Ste. Marie.  

5. Tickets will be sold using electronic raffle system supplied by AscendFundraising Solutions. Tickets will be available for purchase online at

6. After buying, patrons will be given by the sellers, a receipt with their 50/50 registered numbers from a Random Selection System.  No specific numbers can be given as numbers are generated randomly.

7. The winning ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold for the draw.

9. The winning ticket number will be announced on, on the purchase portal site (, and on the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie, ON social media platforms.

10. The winner may claim the prize by contacting the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie at 705-945-1279, or by email at:  The ticket may then be brought to 364 Queen St. E at an agreed upon time for ticket verification.  The winner will then be paid by cheque for the amount posted on the purchase portal site.  The winner will need to produce 2 pieces of photo ID and must have the original winning ticket and no copies.  All payments will be made by cheque.

11. Must be located in the province of Ontario at the time of purchase.

12. The winning ticket holder has 6 months in which to claim the prize from the date of the draw.

13. The winner must provide his/her name, address and phone number with picture identification for our report sheet.

14. Once the certified winner is verified, and provides identification with photo ID, he/she will be given a cheque in the amount of the declared prize which is, at minimum, 50% of the total sales for that draw.  If the winner cannot provide photo ID, then the winning proceeds will be held until such identification can be provided.

15. In the event that no winner comes forward, the winning stub will be kept in a locked, secure area and held for 6 months.  After that time period has elapsed the prize will be donated to a charity other than the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie, with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

16. The following individuals are not eligible to participate in the 50/50 draws:

Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie employees, members, member/employee spouses/partners, and member/employee dependents under the age of 18 who are living at home.

17. The above set of rules will be posted at every selling location.
