Car Draw Coordinator

Start Date: May 26, 2025 • 9-Week Contract • 35 Hours Per Week • $18.20/Hour

The Job
The Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie is hiring a Car Draw Coordinator to execute their annual ROTARYFEST Take Your Pick Draw. You will work closely with ticket sellers, outlets around the city, Rotarians, and fellow staff to maximize and track ticket sales.

Responsibilities:

You will see the draw through from start to finish.

The Take Your Pick Draw raises money for important causes in our community. The Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars of draw proceeds to charities such as THRIVE Child Development Centre, the Sault Area Hospital, and local high school scholarships.

This position will provide good experience for someone getting into the non-profit sector, fundraising, project management, marketing, or administration.

The Candidate
We are looking for someone with excellent organizational skills, who is comfortable counting money and has a positive attitude. You must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and comfortable learning new software. You will need access to a vehicle on a regular basis and a valid driver’s licence.

Other beneficial attributes:

You must be available from the start of the contract until July 21. Applicant must be available occasionally on weekends/evenings (for picking up and dropping off tickets) and must be available to work ROTARYFEST (July 17-19). Our regular working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Special Events Assistant

The Job
The Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie is hiring a Special Events Assistant to help plan and execute the Tenaris PlayZone and Miracle Mile Colour Blast at this year’s ROTARYFEST, The Sault’s Summer Festival! You will work closely with Rotarians, volunteers, and fellow staff to make these events a success.

Responsibilities:

You will see the events through from start to finish, including overseeing your events during ROTARYFEST weekend, July 17-19, 2025.

The festival is Rotary’s way of saying “Thank You” to our community for supporting our Rotary community and youth projects throughout the year.

This position will provide good experience for someone getting into the non-profit sector, events management, fundraising, project management, marketing, or administration.

The Candidate
We are looking for someone with strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, a love for problem solving and a positive attitude. You should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and comfortable learning new skills. You will need regular access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.

You must be available during the week of the festival (July 13-19) and available occasionally on weekends/evenings. Our regular hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
